Singapore/Bangalore: Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd is looking for gas in an uncommon move, because of a planned, month-long shutdown of a rough unit and a consistent synergist reformer (CCR), sources said on Wednesday.

BPCL will close a 100,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) rough unit for a month from July 29 and the CCR from August 6 at its 190,000-bpd Kochi refinery in Southern India, sources with information of the arrangement said.

The state-claimed refiner is looking for 70,000 tons of 91.5-octane fuel with a greatest 0.004 percent sulfur content in two equivalent parts for Aug. 8-10 and Aug. 20-22 landing in Kochi, a delicate archive appeared.

It has a choice to purchase an additional 35,000 tons for Sept. 3-7 landing in a similar port through a similar delicate which closes on June 29, with offers to remain substantial until July 3.

BPCL’s surprising move to look for petroleum came when India’s top refiner Indian Oil Corp arranges broad upkeep work at its key refineries.
